Canada’s ICONIC LAKE LOUISE – Banff National Park + Rocky Mountaineer Recap

We made it to the end of the journey with Rocky Mountaineer and are at the Chateau Lake Louise… they didn’t tell us what to expect when we opened our curtains in the morning! Holy moly, that is the most beautiful scenery I have ever experienced from a hotel window! This building wraps around the scenery and frames Lake Louise, the Rocky Mountains and Victora Glacier all into one pretty picture!

Outside it is brisk and chilly… so much so that there is frost on the ground. So we bundle up, but the sun is warm and quickly shed some layers. Off to the canoes we go! Early in the morning, we were the first ones on the water. It was picturesque, it was serene… it was perfect! What a way to start the day!

But we are not done with this adventure! We load in a bus and transfer to the Banff Springs Hotel, also known as the Castle in the Rockies. This place is stunning! We venture into town for some lunch and a Beaver Tail and spend the evening exploring this beautiful and historic hotel. We definitely want to come back here!!
