International travel vaccine passports ready as early as October
Fully vaccinated Australians could be issued with vaccine passports for international travel as early as October with the federal government looking at a separate system to allow for a return to pubs and clubs.
Work has commenced on linking Australian passports to the vaccination status of individuals to allow for travel to and from the country with the Commonwealth government exploring several options to prove citizens have been double jabbed.
Separate passports will be issued which unlocks domestic freedoms with Prime Minister Scott Morrison urging state government to quickly implement verification systems into the present QR code applications.
