REACTING to my HAWAII QUARANTINE | I AM NOT TRAVELING (PART I)
During this time, no one should be taking a vacation. This two part Hawaii Quarantine vlog series shares my Hawaii quarantine time in Hawaii. In this video I share my Hawaii Quarantine, when I stopped traveling and why I have not posted travel videos for over a month!

I live on the island of Oahu. On March 26 Oahu residents went into Hawaii Shelter-in-place and a 14 day quarantine was announced for visitors to Hawaii. As a solo female traveler, if I do not feel safe, I don’t travel. I turned down sponsorships because I did not want to travel and there is more.

– How are you doing, Christine?

I’m hanging in there. But a lot of the travel industry is struggling right now, including myself. My income is reliant on my travel blog, YouTube channel and I earn money when folks are researching or planning trips and watching travel videos. As we don’t know how fully travel will recover, there is a possibility GRRRLTRAVELER may not make it. I will try to be creative in finding funding; however, I may have to step away from YouTube in order to do it.

– Will you share your travel videos in the future?

Yes. Initially, I did not feel right about posting travel when the coronavirus was hitting the world violently. Once I return to posting videos, I will note my trip date in the video description box so you know when I traveled that country.

– Do you publish your videos from the country you are showing?

No. I edit and publish all my videos *after* I have returned from my travels. As a solo female creator who also juggles and blog and social media platforms, it takes me time to create my content.
