BRITS can jet off for a hassle-free autumn in the sun after both the amber list and expensive PCR tests were SCRAPPED in the biggest travel boost of the pandemic so far. In a huge win for holidaymakers ministers are also shrinking the red list – with Turkey and Egypt among those declared Covid safe today. Double-jabbed passengers will no longer have to take annoying pre-departure tests or pricey PCR tests on day 2 of their return to the UK. Canadians reunite as travel rules change, but questions remain
As of Monday, fully vaccinated Canadians and permanent residents are able to re-enter Canada from outside the country without having to quarantine for 14 days after new travel rules took effect. Under the new rules, everyone still requires a negative COVID-19 test result on their arrival and must take one when they get back into the country as well as provide proof of vaccination. COVID-19: UK tourists arrive at GREEN LIST Mallorca after travel restrictions ease
Coronavirus latest: British tourists arrive in Mallorca, Spain following a decision by the UK government to ease travel restrictions to the island. THE government has announced new updates to the travel traffic light system. Ibiza, Majorca and parts of the Caribbean are among the locations that have been added to the green list. Sixteen holiday hotspots have been added to the list of quarantine-free destinations. This includes Spain’s Balearic Islands, Malta, Madeira, Antigua, Barbados and Barbuda.
